Google Maps User-Generated Content Policy Update

Google Maps has updated its user-contributed content policy for photos and videos. Google Maps may remove selfie photos, excessively dark or blurry images, and blurry or poor-quality images.

What Google Maps May Remove or Reject

A content item may be removed if its primary subject is irrelevant to the location (such as selfie photos where the person or group is the primary focus).

Google may remove or reject blurry, out-of-focus, or generally low-quality photos/videos.
